All three varsity sports teams at Adel-Desoto-Minburn Community Schools are in action this week as the final week of September is upon us. Tomorrow evening the Tiger varsity volleyball team welcomes Raccoon River Conference rival Winterset to Adel for a league match. Sole possession of third place in the conference standings is up for grabs as both ADM and Winterset post 2-1 records against league opponents. The varsity match serves around 7 p.m. from ADM Community Schools. The ADM cross country teams resume their race season Thursday afternoon in the Perry Leon Fox Cross Country Invitational. The Tigers previous race came last Monday in the ADM Cross Country Invitational at the Hillcrest Country Club in Adel. Both ADM squads finished third in the final team standings. Varsity races begin around 5 p.m. from the Perry Golf and Country Club. Finally, the Tiger varsity football team closes the September athletic schedule Friday night in a road district contest versus the Creston Panthers. ADM saw their four-game season-opening winning streak snapped last week against the Harlan Cyclones, losing 28-10. The varsity game kicks off at 7 p.m.  from Creston High School.
