The Perry football team will travel north to Webster City in search of their first victory of the season. The Bluejays have lost four games by a grand total of 14 points and Perry is hoping to change their fortunes against a 2-3 Webster City squad. The Lynx dropped their district opening game to Carroll 28-14 last Friday.
“They have the same quarterback as last year but they lost a lot of their offensive line and some key athletes,” added Perry head coach Matt Hardy. “They run an offense in the single wing that you just don’t see a lot and will look to go fast after gathering a semi-huddle before racing to the snap. We have to be able to clog the holes and make sure we follow their linemen.”
Perry was led last week by senior Justin Stammer, who rushed for a season high 91 yards.
Joe Cerwinske and Doug Stetzel will have the call on KDLS starting at 7:30.
