Perry Football Hoping For Homecoming Magic

September 14, 2018 7:21 am

The Perry football team will look to secure their first win of the season tonight when they host North Polk in the 2018 Homecoming edition. Perry enters play 0-3 on the season and will look to return to their week two form that saw them push 3-0 ADM to a last second game-winning field goal. North Polk features an explosive audience after posting a 2-1 mark after the first three weeks. Perry will look to build off a 100 yard rushing effort by Kaleb Olejniczak.
Homecoming week always brings challenges to both the players and coaches. Head coach Matt Hardy says there is a proper balance.
“It’s a fun week for the kids and we want them to enjoy it. But we also stress the importance of routine and still getting the proper nutrients and rest. Our practices were cut a little short because of homecoming festivities but we tried to keep it as normal as usual.”
You can listen to the game tonight beginning at 6:30 on KDLS.
