Two sophomores on the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers boys cross country team continues to find their names on the Iowa Association of Track Coaches Class 3A individual poll. Both Nate Mueller and Ethan Jurgens declined from last week’s spot in the rankings. Jurgens dropped one spot from 23rd to 24th place. Mueller, the previous week’s fourth-ranked runner in Class 3A, fell to 27th in this week’s poll. The rankings come less than 24 hours after Mueller and Jurgens finished as the top two runners in Monday’s ADM Cross Country Invitational at the Hillcrest Country Club in Adel. Mueller, who placed 65th in the Tom Karpan Invitational on September 11 in West Des Moines, won his home meet with a race time of 17:15. Jurgen finished 37 seconds behind Mueller for runner-up medalist honors. The ADM cross country runners resume their race season on Thursday, September 27, running in the annual Perry Leon Fox Cross Country Invitational at Perry’s Golf and Country Club.
