The Friends of the Jefferson Public Library Used Book Sale kicks off today.

Today is only open to Friends members. Items for sale not only include a variety of books, but also DVDs, jigsaw puzzles, games and audio books. Memberships are $5 for individuals and $10 for a family and are being sold today.

Then from tomorrow through next Saturday, September 29th, the book sale will be open to the public for free. And remember, the final day of the sale is the annual “Bargain Day” where Friends members will give patrons a brown paper bag to fill with books for $4. Other items and specially marked books will be half price.

The fundraiser will take place in the basement of the library during normal hours. There will be an additional Monday evening hours of 6 to 8pm. All proceeds will go back to the Friends for purchases for the library.
