Greene County SheriffAn executed search warrant resulted one arrest in Grand Junction Friday morning.

According to the Greene County Sheriff’s office, at 6:30am, the Iowa State Patrol, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the Mid Iowa Drug Task Force, along with the sheriff’s office, executed a search warrant at 705 East Main Street in Grand Junction. Greene County Sheriff Jack Williams tells Raccoon Valley Radio that they recovered several controlled substances including a substantial amount of methamphetamine and a firearm. Williams says they also made one arrest. Fifty-four-year-old Jerry Dean Barker of Grand Junction is charged with felonies for conspiracy to deliver five or more grams of meth and a felon in possession of a firearm, and a simple misdemeanor for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Williams notes that the ATF and Mid Iowa Drug Task Force are working on similar cases that are involved in the same investigation they have with their office. The case remains under investigation as this time.
