The Raccoon River Conference season continues tonight for the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers varsity volleyball team. The Tigers welcome the Winterset Huskies to Adel for a best of five games rivalry match. Both ADM and Winterset hold 2-1 records currently in the conference standings, and the winner of tonight’s event takes sole possession of third place. ADM struggled over the weekend in the Dubuque Volleyball Invite in eastern Iowa. The Tigers lost four of their five matches in straight sets versus Bettendorf (14-21, 19-21), Dubuque Hempstead (17-21, 15-21), Iowa City High (12-21, 11-21), and North Scott (18-25, 22-25). ADM’s lone win came in straight sets over Davenport North (21-15, 21-18). Winterset brings a 13-4 overall record with them on the road tonight. The Huskies won their latest match Thursday evening in Liberty Center, topping Southeast Warren in four games (26-24, 19-25, 25-22, 25-21). The varsity match between ADM and Winterset serves around 7 p.m. tonight at ADM’s High School gymnasium.
