Two canceled meets in a seven-day timeframe led to the Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers boys and girls cross country teams to entering the 44th annual Tom Karpan Invitational Tuesday afternoon. The yearly meet hosted by West Des Moines Valley featured several Class 4A schools from the metro and surrounding suburbs. ADM’s best individual performance came from sophomore Ethan Jurgens, finishing in 11th place overall at 17:32. The top 20 finishers left the event with a medal. Sophomore Hannah Welch highlighted the personal performances on the girls’ side, placing 53rd overall at 23:06. Both ADM teams finished 12th overall in the final team standings. The Tigers cross country team will resume their season this Monday, hosting the annual ADM Cross Country Invitational at the Hillcrest Country Club in Adel.
