This year’s Panorama Cross Country season will include a pair of assistants helping out this fall. Panorama head cross country coach Greg Thompson spoke with the Raccoon Valley Radio Network recently about multiple preseason topics ahead of the 2018 competition season. The conversation did spotlight Panorama’s assistant coaches for a few minutes. Back for her third season as a paid assistant coach is Lindsey Duncan. Thompson is also receiving help this season from volunteer assistant Sandy Leiferman. “She’s wonderful,” Thompson said, “She just got back from Europe doing a full triathlon. She’s a tremendous blessing, I can put her with any kid on the team, and she could keep up with them.”

The Panorama girls cross country team is looking to return to Fort Dodge after a second place finish in last season’s Class 1A State Cross Country meet. The Panther boys cross country team graduated their only state runner from last season in Josh Carstens. The 2018 Panorama Cross Country season opens Thursday, August 23, competing in the Gilbert Cross Country Invitational.
