Monday’s Media Day for the Greene County football team gave the Raccoon Valley Radio microphone the opportunity to hear from some of the players. That includes senior Clint Dennhardt. He’s been the primary quarterback each of the past two seasons, and he may take some snaps this year, but fans could see him all over the field, including running back, tight end, or even on defense, where he’s played very little as a varsity athlete.

Dennhardt talks about how all the off season work the Rams have put in will help the team. “I feel like its put us ahead of a lot of teams. We’re really prepared and have learned the offense well. It just puts us in a really good position to start the season.” He was asked about being a senior and helping to prepare the younger players for the day they will be varsity players. “As seniors we help get the younger guys ready to go for when we all graduate. We’ll just try to help them learn as much as they can.”

The Rams host North Polk (Alleman) this Friday at 7 p.m. in the annual Sports Drink Scrimmage at Linduska Field in Jefferson. The regular season starts on Aug. 24 in Perry at Dewey Field for the annual Battle for the Cowbell at 7:30 p.m.
