There were a lot of really busy Greene County high school athletes this summer. Those that played baseball, swam, lifted weights, held jobs, and took part in other activities, also found time for football. Second year head coach Mitch Moore and his coaching staff and the players had a lot of early morning workouts, which he says have already paid off. “We really taught the game of football, almost an hour every day. We slowed it down, we went over the basics, and we just kept adding to it week by week. We ran so many plays this Summer that just by repetition our kids started to learn the game of football. They started to line up faster, to better understand what their splits were, and so many things. The list goes on and on of things we just kept getting better at.”
