Perry School Board 6-11

The Perry School Board will convene Monday evening for their August regular session.

The meeting will begin with the latest report on the Dewey Field renovation project. Mike Murphy from Larson Engineering will discuss the progress of construction, as well as items to be completed before August 24th. Also in reports, Director of Teaching and Learning Kevin Vidergar will review the back-to-school workshops and in-service, and share information from the new staff orientation. In general business, the Board will consider a resolution to approve SVPA as the architecture firm tasked with designing upcoming facility improvement projects.

After that, the Board will consider three change orders for the Dewey Field renovation, followed by choosing a company to renovate the practice field, which was damaged during the construction of the complex. Other items on the agenda include: approving the District’s bloodborne pathogens exposure plan; continuing the contract with Street Smarts for Driver Education instruction; approving Pan O Gold and Hiland as the bakery and dairy vendors, respectively; payment prices for Perry’s Academic, Cultural, and Enrichment Services (PACES) program; revisions to Board policies; and meal contracts for Head Start.

The meeting is open to the public and will be held at 6 p.m. Monday in the high school’s Brady Library.
