StuartStarting today there will be a new face at the Stuart Public Library. Amanda Skellenger will begin her tenure as the library’s Assistant Librarian and Circulation Specialist. Skellenger, who has previously the Public Service Assistant at the Waukee Public Library, will take the place of Lacey Partlow, who recently took a job with the State Library in Des Moines.

Library Director Lisa Sherman says she greatly misses Partlow and wishes her the best of luck in her new position. “She is actually working in her field of library science. I can’t be any more happy for her than maybe her mom. We will always love Lacey.”

Partlow recently graduated with a Masters Degree in Library Sciences from the University of Wisconsin Madison and also completed a practicum at the State Library. Sherman is excited to introduce Skellenger to the community. The library is open from 1-7pm today.
