A deputy investigated a two-vehicle accident on 260th Street and the 144 Diagonal. Kristi Holz 60 of Churdan failed to yield the right away. Kristi was driving a 2007 Saturn Vue that sustained around 5,000 dollars damage. Kristi struck Ann Schapman 62 of Carroll who was driving a 2013 Nissan Murano that was totaled in the accident. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Nobody was injured in the accident. Kristi was cited for failure to yield the right of way.

A deputy investigated a civil issue in the 400 block of Harding Street, Churdan.
A deputy investigated a civil issue in the 200 block of North 16th Street, Grand Junction.
A deputy investigated a two-vehicle accident in the 800 block of East Main Street, Grand Junction. Austin Tucker 19 of Boone was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Impala and struck a parked a 2006 Ford F150. There was less than 500 dollars damage to both vehicles.

A deputy investigated a theft in the 400 block of East Hager Street, Grand Junction.
A deputy investigated a suspicious vehicle in the 200 block of 3rd Street, Rippey.
The Sheriff, deputies, Iowa State Patrol, Iowa Department of Motor Vehicle Enforcement, Greene County EMS, and Jefferson Fire responded to a car vs motorcycle accident. The Iowa State Patrol investigated the fatal accident.
Jeremy Orfield 25 of Jefferson was booked into the jail for an arrest warrant for sexual abuse 2nd degree and lascivious acts with a child.
Friday, August 10th
A deputy conducted a welfare check at Spring Lake.
A deputy removed a deer from the roadway on 220th Street near Eaton Avenue.
Jennifer Ashby 46 of Jefferson was booked into the jail for possession of a controlled substance marijuana first offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jody Schad 43 of Jefferson was booked into the jail for theft 2nd degree 2 counts, driving while barred, burglary 3rd degree 4 counts, theft 1st degree, and possession of a controlled substance marijuana 2nd offense, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A deputy investigated an alarm in the 700 block of W Avenue.
A deputy investigated a car in the ditch with no damage on 210th Street near Orchard Avenue. Aaron True 20 of Farnhamville reached down to grab something and dropped his tires off into the ditch. Aaron was driving a 2004 Mitsubishi Eclipse.
