US Senator Charles Grassley made a quick stop in Stuart Monday morning.

A small crowd gathered in the Wallace Meeting Room on South Division Street to hear the Senator talk about a wide range of topics including healthcare, the US Supreme Court Justice nominee, tariffs and others. Bob Cook attended the event and said he was amazed that Grassley came to a non-county seat to visit with community members and listen to their concerns and answer their questions. Cook was also impressed with how civil the discourse and discussion was with the Senator.

The stop in Stuart was part of Grassley’s 99-county tour.
