We continue our conversation with 2018 Greene County High School graduate Megan Durbin. After a stellar athlete career for the Greene County Rams, she’ll next be high jumping for the Iowa State Cyclones. Durbin was asked what she’s most looking forward to at ISU. “I am so excited to meet people! And, I hope I become really close friends with a lot of people on the team. I barely know my roomates; we’ve not talked that much, but I feel like we’re going to get along really well. There’s four of us living in an apartment complex thing, so we’re going to have to get to know each other because we’re going to be really close!”

As a high jumper, Durbin is in rarified air in Iowa high school girls’ annuls. She jumped seven times at Drake Stadium in Des Moines (three Drake Relays and four State Meets) and never finished lower than second place. She won two Drake Relays titles, one State title, plus had three State second place finishes, and was once the Drake Relays runner-up.
