Greene County High School graduate Megan Durbin is days away from officially becoming a member of the Iowa State University women’t track & field squad. She signed a Letter of Intent to high jump for ISU last November, and capped her senior season by winning her second Drake Relays title, and finishing second at the Class 2A State Meet.

Durbin talked about her expectations from being a top level high school high jumper to NCAA Division I and the Big 12 Conference. “Well, from being one of the best high jumpers in high school around here, I’m going to go in and be bottom of the bottom, probably, because I’m the rookie and I haven’t learned the ways yet, so it will be completely different. I’m going to have to adjust, and hopefully, I’ll have really good coaches and teammates that will help me adjust.”
