A senior member of this year’s West Central Valley Wildcats football team is making impressions on prospective college coaches this summer. The Raccoon Valley Radio Network interviewed Wildcat head football coach Eric Addy on Monday’s Guthrie County PM Sports Page discussing multiple topics ahead of next month’s start to the season. This spring, recent West Central Valley graduate Billy Larsen signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Graceland University. When asked if any of this year’s seniors were looking at continuing football next year in college, Addy shared that Carson Wadle has gotten interest from multiple midwest schools. “A couple weeks ago he picked up his highest division offer that he’s had so far, (receiving) an offer to play linebacker at Wayne State (College-NE). He went and performed really well at camp, and he put it on film throughout last season, so he has a verbal offer there.”

Wayne State College is a Division II institution in the northeast Nebraska town of Wayne. Addy adds Wadle also has a verbal offer from Graceland University to play quarterback and gained another verbal offer for a roster spot on the Simpson College football team. The 2018 football season starts on Friday, August 24 for the West Central Valley Wildcats as they travel to Urbandale for a nondistrict matchup versus the Des Moines Christian Lions.
