The 2018 Greene County softball Rams had a team batting average of .252, lower than in recent seasons, but three players were above the .300 mark.

Leading the way was junior center fielder Megan Carey. The left-handed slap hitter and lead off batter recorded a .360 average with 31 hits in 86 at bats. She had three doubles and one triple, scored 17 runs, and batted in six. She was successful on 15 of 16 stolen base attempts this season, and has gone 44 of 45 stealing bases over the past two years.

Junior shortstop/pitcher Jenna Beyers batted .333 with 24 hits in 72 official trips to the plate. Beyers had two home runs, three doubles, and a triple. She knocked in 17 runs and scored 14 times. Beyers walked 11 times and had just nine strikeouts.

Freshman Lily Muir hit .304 as a left handed slapper. She served as the designated player many times, and when she played defensively, it typically was in right field. Muir went 21 of 69 at the plate with one double and 20 singles. Muir scored 13 runs scored from the ninth spot in the batting order, and knocked in six runs.

The Rams were 8-19 on the season under the direction of veteran head coach Tom Kennedy.
