The 13th annual Trent Miner Memorial Parent/Child Golf Tournament is next month, and registration is now open.

The event will be held at the Perry Golf and Country Club on Sunday, August 12th, and there are different tee times for two age groups. Kids 13-years-old and younger and their parents or relatives will compete in a 9-hole alternate shot tournament, with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. For parents or relatives and kids 14-years and older, the 9-hole best shot tournament will have a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Cost to participate is $10 per person for the younger group, and $25 per person for the older. Each event includes a meal.

Additionally, there will be individual prizes awarded for longest drive, longest putt, closest to the pin, and more. There will also be a silent auction and raffle. All proceeds from the event will go towards the Make-a-Wish Foundation, Caringbridge, and the Trent Miner Memorial Scholarship Fund. Trent was a Perry High School Student who lost a battle with cancer in 2005. You can register for the tournament at the Perry Golf and Country Club.
