We are coming up on the last couple days of the Greene County Fair.

Tomorrow’s activities kick-off in the afternoon with the livestock judging contest at noon in the showring, which is open to anyone of all ages. Laser tag will then take place for free from 1 to 7pm. The popular Round Robin Showmanship Show starts at 1:30pm in the showring. Last year’s champion Kara Reed talks about her experience showing other kinds of livestock.

“Well it’s actually a lot of fun. Like I had showed sheep, pigs and horses before, but I hadn’t showed a cow. But the cow worked really well with me and I actually got some of the answers right. That helped me because I really didn’t know what I was doing.”

The day rounds out at 3pm with the Tug-of-War contest for all 4-H’ers and is sponsored by the Junction Food Producers. Monday’s activities include the Appreciation Breakfast at 8am in Clover Hall, sponsored by the Greene County Fair Association, followed by the Junior Fair Premium Auction at 8:30 to close out the fair.

Raccoon Valley Radio’s Little Big Red Radio will broadcast live today and tomorrow from the fair. We also have pictures posted on our Facebook page and results can also be found on our website at raccoonvalleyradio.com under the Greene County Fair tab on the right-hand side of our homepage.
