Pre-registrations for an annual event in Jefferson are ending soon.

Hot August Night is scheduled for Thursday, August 9th from 4:30 to 7:30pm in the downtown square in Jefferson. Greene County Chamber Interim Director Michael Reese says registrations are free for anyone who would like to show off their vehicle, whether that be a car, truck, motorcycle or tractor. Plus when you pre-register by tomorrow, you will receive one free t-shirt, which, Reese points out, features a new logo.

“For those of you that remember ‘American Graffiti’ that logo might look somewhat familiar. I will also say that logo, and having that same style, in my 20-years of being in the media-marketing world, I’ve never seen an entity duplicate it with the ‘American Graffiti’ logo as well as has been done for Hot August Night. So something kind of neat.”

To register, Reese says you can either go to jeffersoniscarshows.info or call the Chamber office at 386-2155. It is free to sign up. Also during the event, there will be awards for People’s Choice for auto, truck, motorcycle and tractor, plus the Spirit Award. A $200 prize will also be awarded to the car club that has the most members participating in the event. To access the registration form, click the link below.
