Friday’s 8-1 loss against Class 2A No.2 IKM-Manning in the Class 2A Region 3 semifinal game closed the athletic careers of two Panorama senior softball players. Kellie Prince and Nicole Rolfes were both a part of Ryan Nail’s first class of eighth graders five years ago, and are the only athletes remaining from their original class of eight players. Prince plated Panorama’s lone run Friday night on a two-out double in the fifth inning. She’ll continue her softball career next fall at Central College in Pella. Prince and Rolfes contributed to Panorama athletics in multiple ways this school year. Both ladies were starters on this year’s Panther girls basketball team who advanced to the Class 2A state tournament. Rolfes also had a starting role on the Panthers’ varsity volleyball and soccer teams as well.
