Last Tuesday marked the end of the 2018 Panorama Panthers baseball season and also signified the end of three youth baseball careers. Panorama’s three seniors who played baseball this summer are Tanner Godfrey, Erik Olson, and Steve Soreide. Godfrey received the most playing time of any senior, starting all 23 games this season in center field. He recorded 29 hits in 81 at bats, scoring 18 runs, driving in 11 more, and stole six bases. Soreide played five total positions in 21 games for Panorama, spending a majority of the season at catcher. He collected 21 hits in 57 at bats, scoring 21 runs, driving in 10 more, and stole nine bases. Olson didn’t record any varisty stats during this season. The Panorama Panther baseball team closed the 2018 regular season with a 7-16 overall record, losing to the Van Meter Bulldogs in the district semifinals, 10-5.
