acgcWe wrap up our statistical look at the ACGC summer sports season with statistical leaders. Today we look at the softball team.

Incoming sophomore Mady Kelsey set four new records at the plate this season for the Chargers. Kelsey is now the all-time leader at ACGC in home runs (5), hits (36), RBIs (24), and batting average (.367) in a single season. She also tied incoming senior Sierra O’Brien’s mark of most at bats in a single season with 98.

Incoming senior Jadeyn Carrick also broke the doubles record with nine, one more than Genevieve Hoover, Emily Pavelka, and MaKayla Hoing who all had eight in 2017. In addition to her pitching marks, Carrick’s classmate Savana Fuller led the team in runs scored with 28 and recorded one of the team’s two triples back in game one against Audubon. She also broke the walks drawn record with 20.

Incoming seniors Carrick, Fuller, Hoover and O’Brien accounted for nearly half of the team’s 219 hits (106) and just over half of the team’s 184 runs (96). Tomorrow we’ll take a look at the baseball team’s statistical leaders.
