Dallas Co Fair 2018 1

The 2018 Dallas County Fair will wrap up tomorrow, but there’s still many activities scheduled throughout the day at the fairgrounds in Adel.

Events will start early with the always popular 4-H/FFA Dog Show at 8:30 a.m. at the Varied Industries Building. That will be followed by the Horse Fun Show presented by the Redfield Saddle Club at 9 in the south arena, along with remote control car races near the entertainment plaza at 10, both of which are open for public participation. One of the big events of the day is the Bill Riley Talent Show, which will be at 1 p.m. on the Central Stage. Also at 1 is the livestock auction at the showring.

The festivities will also include daily activities such as the Little Critter Corner, the “Ninja Experience,” Mr. Nick the Balloon Artist, Jim Walling’s Pony Rides, and carnival rides. The day will wrap up with the Tractor and Local Stock Pull at 6 p.m. at the north track, followed by a fireworks show. Additionally, the Raccoon Valley Radio Big Red Radio will be on hand for the last day of the fair, as we’ve been all week. We will broadcast live, play music by the gazebo, and provide public address announcements.

Also make sure to check out all the results from the livestocks shows and exhibits, under the Dallas County Fair tab on this website. To see a full list of activities for today and tomorrow, click the link below.
