One of the noticeable strengths of this year’s Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers baseball team this summer was their overall team speed. The Tigers closed their 2018 season last Saturday in Grinnell with 70 steals in 79 attempts. The Tigers stolen bases count is currently the second most recorded by a Raccoon River Conference squad behind the Carlisle Wildcats (88). Five Tiger players swiped seven or more bags this summer. Seniors Nick Lindgren and Dalton Hews along with junior Spencer Collins tied for the team lead with nine stolen bases each. Senior Matthew West took eight bags, while senior Brett Duroe snatched seven bases. Fourteen players had a least one or more stolen base this summer on the Tigers varsity baseball team. The ADM Tigers ended the season with a 13-16 overall record. The Tigers graduate eight seniors from the program.
