Class 4A fourth ranked ADM rolled to a 14-1 high school softball non-conference victory over Greene County in Jefferson last night on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. The Tigers improved to 18-2 while the Rams fell to 3-9. The contest went just five innings via the 10-run rule.

Sophomore Abbie Hlas tossed a one-hitter, striking out eight and walking no one for ADM. The lone Greene County hit was a solo home run in the fourth inning by junior Jenna Beyers. It was her second of the season.

The Tigers had two homers and three doubles among its 12 hits. Ashley Tennant had a home run and a double in the Tigers’ seven run third inning. Brynn Busta added a three run round-tripper in the fifth. ADM scored three times in the first and four in the fifth.

Senior Samantha Hardaway pitched the first three innings and took the loss. She was relieved by Jenna Beyers.

Greene County is home tonight with Heart of Iowa Activities Conference rival Saydel on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Air time is around 7 p.m. The Rams won 12-10 in Des Moines the first time they met the Eagles.
