The Panorama Panthers softball team split a pair of games this weekend at the Southeast Valley Softball tournament in Harcourt. The Panthers opened the event with a 10-3 loss versus the Glidden-Ralston Wildcats. Panorama allowed seven total runs in the first two innings in the setback. Junior Kennedy Anderson went two for three at the plate versus Glidden-Ralston with a double, a single, and two runs scored. Panorama bounced back in game two by defeating the Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders, 9-6. Anderson, senior Kellie Prince, and junior Lydia Knapp each drove in a pair of runs and Prince scored three more in the victory. The results push Panorama’s overall record to 3-5. The Panthers resume West Central Activities Conference play today against the Earlham Cardinals. Varsity first pitch is around 7:30 p.m in Panora.
