Trivia with Friends 2018
Trivia with Friends 2018

The latest edition of the Perry Library’s “Trivia with Friends” was held Thursday evening, bringing trivia buffs from all around the area to La Poste to compete for bragging rights.

The Friends of the Perry Public Library host the trivia contests in January and June, as a way to raise money for the library’s programs and services. At previous events, they’ve awarded the winner prizes, but the Friends group decided against it this time so more funds could go directly to the library. They did, however, provide snacks to the eight teams who participated. Raccoon Valley Radio Program Director Chris Cohea served as emcee for the event, which included categories ranging from famous quotes to Charlie Brown’s Peanuts gang. After eight rounds of questions, it was a team called “Aye Queue” that emerged victorious.

Friends Co-Chair Sue Brickner said they managed to raise $450, and she felt overall the event went very well. So well, in fact, that they’ve decided to host another trivia competition on October 25th. It will be Halloween-themed, so dressing up is encouraged, and a prize will be awarded for best costume.
