The Perry baseball team picked up another road victory Thursday night defeating Ballard 7-6 in Slater. Perry jumped out early with four runs in the top of the first inning. Austin Carpenter delivered a two-run double. Gavin Boyer added to the lead with single RBI’s in the second and fourth innings. Kaleb Olejniczak finished with a pair of hits and two runs scored from the top of the order. Carpenter picked up the win on the mound while Keeghan West retired the final two batters to earn his first varsity save. Ballard stranded the tying run on base in the bottom of the seventh inning. Alexis Garrido earned a hold after pitching 2 innings of middle relief.
Perry improves to 3-3 in RRC action and will enjoy the weekend off before returning to action next Tuesday.
