WCV/NV/AC-GC Girls Soccer Draws Home Playoff Opener

The West Central Valley/Nodaway Valley/AC-GC girls soccer program will start their postseason run at home next week. The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union recently released postseason soccer assignments for all classes, and the organization sees the combined program as a Class 2A member. The West Central Valley/Nodaway Valley/AC-GC girls soccer program begins postseason play on Thursday, May 24, hosting the Atlantic Trojans in the Class 2A Region 2 quarterfinal round at West Central Valley High School. The winner of the opening match advances to the regional semifinal round on Tuesday, May 29, traveling to Council Bluffs for a matchup against No. 1 Lewis Central Titans. The regional championship game is scheduled for Monday, June 4, at Lewis Central High School in Council Bluffs. All matches are to start at 6 p.m. The West Central Valley/Nodaway Valley/AG-GC girls soccer program posts a record of 5-8 overall, losing 2-1 in their latest match Friday at Kuemper Catholic. The squad resumes their season in Stuart Thursday, hosting the AHSTW Vikings in a nonconference match.
