teacherappreciationIt’s National Teacher Appreciation Month and it’s a time to highlight teachers and the work they do with young kids.

Paton-Churdan eighth grader Megan Palmer talks about what she appreciates the most about all of the teachers at P-C.

“My favorite thing about the teachers here is that they honestly care and that they always try to make everyone apart of everything, and make sure everyone leaves happy at the end of the day.”

Greene County fourth grader Mia Russell describes her fun experiences with her teachers, while being in elementary school.

“We would do this ‘math challenge’ and whoever finishes math challenge we would get a piece of bubblegum. And in third and fourth grade, it’s fun to do math and science with the teachers because they make it active and fun and make you want to do it more.”

Greene County High School Class of 2018 graduate Gwen Black says her teachers have helped her figure out what she wants to do later in life.

“It’s been my teachers that have influenced me, and pushed me and showed me where I’m good at and what I would be good at. And they always pushed me to go farther that I think that I can go. They’ve definitely been the reason why I’m going to Iowa State (University) and I’m going to major in agronomy. Had it not been for some of my middle school teachers who really developed my love of science, I don’t know if I would be where I am today.”
