New Perry City Council

The Perry City Council will convene Monday evening in regular session.

The meeting will start with a public hearing to discuss bids and specifications for the Park Street paving and widening project. Following the hearing, the Council will consider awarding the project to the low bidder Harland Concrete, for $67,840. Next, they will consider a change order and pay request for the Willis Avenue bridge construction, and a pay request for the soccer complex project. Other items in old business include: renewing a Caboose Park agreement; establishing maintenance positions for the City; setting prices and fees for the operation of Violet Hill Cemetery; setting a public hearing for a fiscal year 2018 budget amendment; and a SAFER grant application by the Fire Department.

In new business, the Council will consider a resolution approving a development agreement between the City and Maxwell Hospitality. They will also set a time and date for a public hearing to discuss vacating an alleyway to Wiese Industries. Finally, the Council will discuss authorizing grant applications for budgeted capital expenditures. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday in the Clarion Room at Perry City Hall.
