The next meeting of the 100+ People for Perry organization will be held this Monday, and the group encourages anyone interested in joining to attend.

Normally the group meets the last Monday of the designated month, but since the following week is Memorial Day, they elected to convene a week early. The meeting will be held in the Cellar at La Poste, starting with a social time at 6:30 p.m. Three potential projects will be presented to the group, and they will vote on which one they wish to support. Each member will then donate $100 to the selected project.

The goal of the organization is to make four large donations a year to local groups, in order to positively impact Perry. This is the 10th donation meeting of the 100+ People for Perry, and to date they’ve given nearly $60,000 to nine different projects. Each contribution stays entirely in the community, and no national charities are considered. Anyone interested in joining the organization is encouraged to contact Mark Powell at 515-465-4641 or mpowel@fdplawfirm.com, Tom Lipovac at Tom.Lipovac@perry.k12.ia.us, or Linda Kaufman at kaufmanlinda1948@gmail.com.
