A Democratic candidate for the US Congressional 4th District will be making his second trip to Jefferson next week.

J.D. Scholten will be stopping in Jefferson at the Milwaukee Depot on Tuesday from 4:30 to 6pm. The Sioux City native made his first visit to Jefferson this past October. The event is sponsored by the Greene County Democratic Party and is open to the public. Light refreshments will also be served.

Scholten is one of three candidates running for the Democratic ticket in the June 5th primary election. The other candidates are Leann Jacobsen of Spencer and Dr. John Paschen of Ames.
