Kate Crawford finishes her season in the 1500 at Drake Stadium.

The ACGC track and field teams concluded their season with six entries on Saturday at the Iowa State Track and Field Championships in Des Moines. Sophomore Kate Crawford and juniors Noah Nelsen and Clay Billheimer each ran in two events for the Chargers.

Crawford had the best finish of the day, crossing the line at the blue oval in 4th for the girls 1500 meter run. She added five points for the Charger girls and clocked a new school record with a time of 4:49.79. Earlier in the day she finished 10th in the 800 with a time of 2:23.68.

As for the boys, Clay Billheimer became the first Charger to run the 800 under two minutes, finishing in 10th at 1:59.81. Noah Nelsen finished in 24th at 2:05.14. The script was flipped in the 1600. Despite a near slip out of the gate, Nelsen charged back to the top half, rounding out his junior season with a 12th place finish and a time of 4:38.41. Billheimer was close behind in 17th at 4:42.33
