Coach Marilyn Tasler’s Greene County girls’ soccer team picked up win number three on the season via a 2-0 blanking of Carroll late Monday afternoon in Grand Junction under some of the best weather conditions of the season. Sophomore Bailey Cunningham, a former goalie, scored with 1:54 to play in the first half and sophomore Nayelli Lopez added a goal with 20:49 left in the match. The goal was the third for Lopez, while Cunningham collected her second. Freshman Eliza Carlson and the defense turned in the shut out, which marked the ninth time Carroll (1-11) has been held off the scoreboard. The Rams have a 3-9 record with two shut outs to go with a win by forfeit.
