West Central Valley Wildcat

This week’s meeting of the West Central Valley Board of Education, the group decided to adjust their girl’s soccer agreement beginning next school year. The seven-person board voted in favor to renew an athletic sharing agreement with the Nodaway Valley Community School District of Greenfield only Wednesday evening by a 5-2 vote with the nay votes coming from members Jenyse Belden and Laura Weber. The past two seasons the girl’s soccer program has been comprised of athletes from AC/GC, Nodaway Valley, and West Central Valley. The new sharing agreement won’t impact this year’s squad and will take effect during the 2018-19 school year. The West Central Valley/Nodaway Valley/AC-GC girls soccer team is currently 2-1 on the season, winning their latest game against Knoxville, 5-0, Thursday in Greenfield. The squad returns to the pitch Thursday in a road match versus Kuemper Catholic (2-0).
