A reminder that today is the 22nd Annual Greene County Relay for Life event.

Raccoon Valley Radio’s Big Red Radio will be broadcasting live from 9am to noon from the Greene County Community Center. We will be making announcements, playing music and helping lead the survivors on their ceremonial walk as well.

Team registrations begin at 9:30am. The 5K run/walk is at 10:45 and the community beef and pork barbecue will be served from 11am to 1pm. There will also be entertainment starting at 11am. The acts include: the Town and Country Band, Greene County High School jazz band, Greene County Singers and Prairie Blue Creative Arts dancers. Other activities and fundraisers that are going on include: silent auction, 50/50 cash raffle and luminarias. The luminaria ceremony will wrap up the event at 2pm.

All proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
