moneyHere’s a reminder that Money Smart Week at the Stuart Public Library continues tomorrow with a children’s program. The hour-long program starts at 4:30pm and will feature First State Bank Senior Vice President Jeff Horn. Horn will teach kids the importance of saving money.

Assistant Librarian Lacey Partlow talks about the other activities going on during the program. “In that program we’re going to be reading a story, playing a game, (and) creating our own piggy banks. Then all the participants will leave with a free coloring book and picture book. Then as an added bonus there’s a statewide contest for kids to enter a photo of the piggy bank that they make here and the winner receives $100.”

The week concludes Thursday with a presentation on college financial planning. That program begins at 7pm in the Council Chambers at Stuart City Hall.
