Seniors Grace Stewart and Reese Dunlap certainly turned in a senior night performance that they soon won’t forget as Perry hosted senior night at the Jim Kaufman track with the running of the Jayette and Bluejay Relays.  Dunlap made his season debut after a remarkable turnaround from an ACL tear suffered last November.  In his very first event, he won the 100 meter dash and his surgically repaired knee looked strong.  In some instances, ACL surgery and rehab can take as long as 12 months but Dunlap was able to come back in less than six months.

“I have been working really hard these past few months,” stated Dunlap.  “I have rehabbed hard and never doubted I would be able to return this season.”

On the girls side, Grace Stewart continued her strong season by winning the 3000 and placing 2nd in the 1500.  The Perry girls placed 4th out of six teams while the Bluejays placed 6th.  The North Polk girls and Ottumwa boys won the meet.
