St Pats

In spite of what the weather looks like, it is in fact spring right now. To celebrate the season, St. Patrick’s Catholic School in Perry is inviting the public to their Spring Fling Dance tomorrow night.

Organizers emphasize this won’t be a typical daddy-daughter or mother-son dance. They invite grandparents, aunts and uncles, neighbors, and families of all kinds to take part. The event is also not limited to St. Pat’s students, as they would like to see the entire community show up. Spring Fling is being hosted by the St. Pat’s student leadership and staff, and will be held tomorrow from 6-8 p.m. at La Poste. There is a $5 per person entry fee, and all proceeds will go to help the three downtown Perry businesses affected by a fire last month. In addition to the dance, there will also be pulled pork sandwiches, snacks and beverages, a photo booth, and a bake sale to help the St. Pat’s 8th grade class with a project.
