New Perry City Council

The Perry City Council will convene Monday evening in regular session.

The meeting will start with a proclamation of Arbor Day, which is April 27th. Following that, there will be a public hearing to discuss the proposed contract documents, estimated costs, and bids received for the Wiese Park Trail improvement project. Following the hearing, the Council will consider a resolution awarding the project to the low bidder, Landals Corporation for $42,555, which is nearly 40% lower than the engineer’s estimate.

In old business, the Council will consider pay requests for the soccer complex project and the Willis Avenue bridge construction. In new business, they will consider a resolution stating their opposition to any reduction of the backfill for fiscal year 2019, to be submitted to the state legislature. Other items on the agenda include: appointing compliance officers; approving an application for a re-designation as an “Iowa Great Places” location; and setting a public hearing for the Park Street widening project.

The meeting will be held Monday at 6 p.m. in the Clarion Room at Perry City Hall.
