Earlier this month, a local youngster outshot the rest of her age group at the Iowa Knights of Columbus State Free Throw Competition. Morgan Crees won the girls 9-year-old division at Grinnell College on Sunday, April 15th. Tyme Boettcher, also from Panora, placed third in the girls 11-year-old division.

Both girls won trophies for their placements. Their journeys began by winning the local Council Competition in Panora, then the District Competition in Stuart, and Regional Competition in Audubon. The State Competition is the final leg of the contest. However, depending on their scores compared to other state champions, they may receive an international Free Throw Championship trophy and personal letter of congratulations from Supreme Knight Carl Anderson.
