Tuesday, April 24th

7:05am: A Public Works employee located a wallet in the street in the 300 Block of South High Street. The wallet was returned to the owner by the officer. Nothing was missing from the wallet.

7:30am: A Traffic Stop was performed at 220th and Elm resulting in Juan Manuel Villalba of Cicero, Ill. Being cited for, “Fail to Have a Valid Drivers License.”

10:58am: An officer investigated a Two Vehicle Property Damage Accident at Lincoln Way and Chestnut Streets. A 2010 Chevrolet Impala, owned and operated by Tashina Taylor of Jefferson, was eastbound on Lincoln Way Street. A 2004 Buick Park Avenue, owned and operated by Jane Waldo of Jefferson, was northbound on South Chestnut Street. Both vehicles stopped at the posted stop signs at the intersection of Lincoln Way and Chestnut Streets, before proceeding into the intersection. The vehicles made slight contact with the other. The Taylor vehicle had a reported $1500.00 in damage, while the Waldo vehicle had a reported $500.00 in damages.

11:32am: Jerry Stott reported a stray dog had chased his cat up a tree at 205 East Harrison Street.

12:18pm: Officers assisted school staff members with two unruly students at 203 West Harrison Street.

6:06pm: Janice Adkins reported receiving a Scam Phone Call from a subject advising she had won a large sum of money. He asked her for personal information during the call. She recognized it as a scam and did not provide the caller any information. No loss was incurred.

6:32pm: A Traffic Stop was performed in the 400 Block of North Locust Street resulting in Seth Butler of Jefferson being cited for, “Driving While Suspended.”

8:16pm: Nicki Henderson reported her cat got loose form 1000 West Washington Street. The officer did not locate the animal, which returned home on its own later in the evening.

8:58pm: Officers went to 508 West Reed Street and arrested Edward Raymond Bryson, 60 of Jefferson on an outstanding Greene County Mittimus Warrant.
