12:10am: A Traffic Stop in the 1400 Block of South Elm Street resulted in James Unger of Jefferson being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

12:19am: An officer checked on a 911 Hang Up Call from 405 North Chestnut Street. The officer coaxed an intoxicated male from the residence to ER to be evaluated by a medical doctor.

2:01am: During a Traffic Stop on 220th Street, near Elm Street, an officer smelled the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. During a Probable Cause Search of the vehicle the officer located a green leafy substance. Charges are pending lab testing of the seized material.

7:07am: An officer was requested to assist a Greene County Deputy, who witnessed a Backing Accident in the 300 Block of East Lincoln Way Street. The officer assisted in towing one vehicle after the deputy located suspected narcotics in the vehicle and arrested the driver.

2:15pm: Officers were called to Maple and State Streets for a dog fight. The occupant at 503 West State Street opened his door and his Pitt Bull slipped past him and ran to the neighbor’s property. The Pitt Bull attacked the neighbor’s dog at 501 East State Street. As the owners of both animals attempted to break up the pair, three of them received minor injuries to their hands. The Pitt Bull was required to leave the city after being deemed a “Vicious Animal” according to ordinance.

5:09pm: Carlotta Wild advised of a stray dog in the 500 Block of South Cedar Street. The officer is working to speak to the animal’s owner about the issue.

6:38pm: Craig Berry reported kids playing on the shelter house roof at Washington Park. The officer made contact with the juvenile and a parent about the issue.

9:34pm: An officer went to 608 North Olive Street and arrested Aimee Alderman, 40 of Jefferson on two Jefferson Police Department Arrest Warrants. Alderman was charged with, “Accessory to a Misdemeanor- Simple and Interference with Official Acts- Simple,” after hiding her boyfriend from officers while he had an arrest warrant.

******* Officers have requested Arrest Warrants for Jennifer Marie Ashby, 45 of Jefferson, in two separate Theft cases. The requested warrants are for Theft 5th Degree – Simple for shoplifting events at 106 West Washington Street on 4/16/208 and at 123 North Chestnut Street on 4/03/2018.
