The Guthrie Center City Council met in regular session Monday.

The Council set the date for a public hearing on proposed amendments to the 2017-2018 fiscal year budget. The Council set the hearing for Monday, May 14th at 6:30pm. They also accepted bids for the property at 905 Grand St. The City received two bids and approved Steve Bascom’s high bid of $510.

Erik Van Cura with Guthrie Center Municipal Utilities also presented on natural gas in City limits. His presentation included a brief description of where certain gas lines were located in Guthrie Center and recommended residents call the Iowa One Call hotline for any digging operations. No formal action was taken as a result of the presentation.
