West Central Valley Wildcat

Another week of springs sports starts this afternoon at West Central Valley High School. Weather permitting, both Wildcat golf, soccer, and track and field programs will take to competitions all across central Iowa. The eventful day of athletics begins at 4 p.m. when the West Central Valley golf teams travels to Boone a nine-hole West Central Activities Conference triangular at the Cedar Pointe Golf Course. The Wildcats will share the course with golfers from AC/GC and Madrid. Simultaneously, the West Central Valley boys soccer program will hit the pitch in Ankeny for a nonconference match against Grand View Christian. Around 4:30 p.m. the West Central Valley boys and girls track programs resume their seasons in the annual Bulldog Invite. The 10 team field includes athletes from West Central Activities Conference schools Des Moines Christian, Panorama, and Van Meter. The West Central Valley/Nodaway Valley/AC-GC program round out the competition day with a road match against Riverside.
