acgcThe ACGC golf teams had two opportunities to improve their games this last week. On Tuesday, both squads participated in a dual in Avoca against AHSTW. The Charger boys were the only squad to have a full varisty roster, so no team title was given. However, McKlain Jorgensen shot the best overall score, claiming medalist honors with a 47. Spencer Grove and Eli Kading also scored a 51 for the Charger boys, who secured a team total of 212 strokes. The Charger girls brought two varsity players to Avoca. Kenna Baier shot a 58 and Haley Sheeder scored 67.

Both teams also traveled to the Atlantic Golf and Country Club for the Exira-EHK tournament on Thursday. The boys finished in 3rd place out of four teams, while the girls still did not have a full lineup. Jorgensen once again shot the best round for the boys, placing in a tie for 7th, with 53. The boys finished with a team total of 250 strokes. Kena Baier also finished tied for 7th on the girls side, with a 57.

Both squads will travel to Boone for a WCAC triangular with West Central Valley and Madrid. First tees begin at Cedar Pointe Golf Course in Boone at 4pm.
